SIL Division 3 Benhall v Old Newton Res

This game was played almost in its entirety in driving rain, but both teams coped with the conditions well and produced an entertaining game. Benhall took the lead when Cayden Felton beat the Old Newton keeper to a through ball and netted from 18yds. Old Newton struck back and equalised when Adam Cook curled home with his left foot..  Benhall regained the lead with the best goal of the match when Cayden Felton doubled his tally striking home from just inside the penalty area following a short free kick. The second half was seconds old when Benhall increased their lead. The game became disjointed with numerous substitutions and dubious off side flags.
