Ransomes Sports Reserves were victorious in last nights Reserve Cup final played at Woodbridge Town FC. following a 4-3 penalty shoot out against Coplestonians Reserves. The 90 minutes ended 0-0 in a game of few chances. Ransomes shaded the first half , although had their keeper to thank with a fine save from Kings shot from the edge of the area. The second half saw Coplestonians come more into the game, and they thought they had scored but the goal was ruled out by the assistants flag for offside. Cops made a terrible start to the shoot out by missing their first spot kick with the Ransomes keeper saving with his feet. Ransomes scored 4 of their kicks and won when the fifth Cops kick was again saved by the keeper. Thanks go to Ian Smillie, Referee Appointments Officer for Suffolk FA, for presenting the Trophy.
