Congratulations to Coplestonians for making the final of the Senior Cup.
Coplestonians were edged out in the CNET Training Suffolk Senior Cup Final against Ipswich Wanderers by losing 1-0 to a first half goal by Connor Field from a free kick on the right by Jack Severy.
It was a sell out that took place at the SEH Sports Ground, Humber Doucy Lane, home of both Wanderers and Cops and provided a good atmosphere for the final.
The first half probably belonged to Wanderers who also hit the foot of the post before they took the lead in the 30th minute. Coplestonians continued to grow into the game and in the second half were well on top with a few chances including smart saves from Wanderers keeper Craig Brand that denied both Jordan Godbold and Matthew Rutterford.
It was a superb performance from Cops who gave it all on the night and showed just how far the first team has come and a great platform to build on for the future.
