This weekend has seen a mixture of friendlies, Suffolk Junior Cup and Suffolk Primary Cup matches, 24 matches played with 84 goals scored. Top scorers this weekend with 5 goals were Claydon A in their friendly and Bacton United 89 first team who also scored 5 in their Junior Cup victory. Other teams going through in the Junior Cup are Stowupland Falcons, Kirton Athletic and Thurston. In the Primary Cup Kesgrave Kestrels move into the next round after beating Somersham Reserves. Sadly in this game a couple of nasty injuries with a Kestrels player breaking his leg in a collision with the home goalkeeper and a Somersham player going to hospital with a nasty ankle injury. Our best wishes go to both players for a speedy recovery. In the friendlies going by the results Woolverstone United pulled off an excellent win over Westerfield United and Grundisburgh gave a good account of themselves before losing 4-2 to Henley Athletic.
