From Bildeston to Wembley and beyond!

Suffolk official and former SIL referee, Isabel Chaplin last week received news that she had been appointed as assistant referee for this seasons Women’s FA Cup final at Wembley. The match between Chelsea and Manchester United takes place on Sunday may 18th.

Issy started her adult refereeing path when stepping in a short notice to act as assistant referee in an SIL match at Bildeston, from there on she regularly officiated on the league and led the first All female referee team to officiate in an SIL Senior Division match in January 2023.

Earlier this year Issy was also added to the FIFA list of assistant referees. Congratulations from the SIL.
