So far fixtures have been released for the whole season for the Senior Division and Divisions One and Two. Divisions Three to Six so far have fixtures released up to the end of September. Until the league receives the Suffolk FA Cup draws for the Senior, Senior Reserves, Junior and Primary Cups no more fixtures can be formulated and released for those divisions. It is hope that the remainder of seasons fixtures will be able to be formulated and be released in the next two weeks.
A number of clubs have closed Monday January 2nd to fixtures. This date can be closed without the penalty of having to take a closed date. But the club must opt out. If you do not opt out you could get a fixture. This request to not play needs to be sent in to myself by the end of September.
Clubs are now starting to ask for closed dates during the season. The rule allows two per team per season with 35 days notice given to the league. Please remember the only match dates you are free of a fixture are the ones you request to be closed off. Do not take it for granted that if you see a date clear in your team fixture list that it will remain clear, as it may be filled with a Suffolk FA Cup game, an SIL League Cup game or a rearranged league fixture. These can be added up to five days before a match date.
Finally some clubs still have not paid their fees for the season, the deadline has been extended to the 29th July. After then a fine will be issued. Clubs who have not paid have received a reminder notification so please save yourselves a fine by paying today. Please send to Mary Ablett.
