Eric Dickerson RIP

Tuesday was a sad day for local football with the news that Eric Dickerson had passed away.  Eric was a long term club secretary and member of the SIL Management Committee.  He was totally dedicated to Ipswich Exiles whom he is pictured with and a champion in the cause of Junior Football.  In season 1989/90 he was awarded Junior Secretary of the Year and in 1998 the Meritorius Award for at least 25 years  service in a non-playing capacity.  His knowledge of rules and precedents that had been set was unsurpassed  as well as his kindess and help in all football matters.  A true gentleman of the game who will be sorely missed.  Our thoughts are with his family at this  time.
