Coddenham Athletic Triumph in Divisional Cup

Coddenham Athletic of Division 5 overcame Sporting 87 ‘A’ of Division 4 to win the Divisional Cup for season 2022/23 3-2. An entertaining game in terrible conditions saw Coddenham score the only goal of the second half, after coming back twice in the first half.
Coddenham thought they had drawn first blood early on but were denied by the assistants flag. Sporting scored the opening goal shortly after, but were soon pegged back. Sporting, playing into the strong wind, scored a second goal but once again Coddenham replied before half time. Coddenham now have a second final to look forward to with the SCFA Primary Cup on a date and venue yet to be decided.
