AFC Kesgrave lift Suffolk Junior Cup

Division One AFC Kesgrave defeated three time finalists Mutford & Wrentham in last nights Suffolk FA Junior Cup at Colchester United. In a tight opening spell good defending and goalkeeping kept the game goalless until AFC Kesgrave broke the deadlock on 35 minutes, Mutford & Wrentham hit back three minutes later to take the game level at half time. Mutford & Wrentham posed a considerable threat in the second half but were unable to penetrate the resolute AFC Kesgrave rear-guard. On 75 minutes AFC Kesgrave broke and scored a second goal, and sealed the victory with a free kick goal in additional time. As the saying goes , goals win games!
